Business Marketing/Sociology
Darrian Johnson is from Baltimore, MD. He serves as Director of Public Relations for both, the Morehouse Marketing Association and Maroon Tiger. When he is not working, studying, or fulfilling his duties for on campus positions, Darrian does volunteer work with Hands on Atlanta, Boys Who D.A.R.E., and the Make a Wish Foundation. Darrian has also been a member of the Junior Class Council, Morehouse Business Association, and “The Industry,” the Atlanta University Center fashion club. Upon graduation, he wants to work for a major marketing or public relations firm until he is able to start his own ventures. Darrian has plans to open his own sneaker and clothing boutique in his hometown of Baltimore, MD, where he plans to help administer clothing to the town’s growing population of homeless people. Additionally, Darrian hopes to become the creative director of a major publication or clothing brand. Ultimately, Darrian wants to take on a number of projects and create an umbrella of successful ventures. As opportunity knocks, Darrian is sure, he’ll be on the other side preparing for its arrival. By joining the Faces of Manhood Initiative, Darrian hopes to put certain stereotypes about men and fashion to rest. A man of Morehouse has not truly acquiesced to his highest level of potential until he can say that in addition to being well read, well spoken, well traveled, and well balanced, he is also well dressed.
